In Japan, shinnenkai is a way of getting together to celebrate a new year, and to make promises to each other to do your best in the year ahead while wishing each other good luck and fortune.
Sake, with its long history as Japan’s national drink, is basically a must at shinnenkai. It has cultural significance as a drink for celebratory occasions, and one to ward off bad fortune and bring good tidings for the year to come.
So gather your pals and get the year started the right way! We'll have super fresh sake for sipping and we'll have mochi (sweet rice dumplings) to nibble on (a new year tradition). We'll also have origami that you can create and write your new years goals on!

For the party we'll be putting on special cocktails and drinks deals to get you in the mood, and spinning some tunes on the decks.
Free event - first come, first served. Guarantee your entry (before 7pm) by grabbing a free entry ticket on Eventbrite.
