Shiinkai roughly translates into tasting party. The aim of this series of tasting events is to share our love of other Japanese liquids.

We aren’t just obsessed with sake!

For the second event in the series we are welcoming the wonderful guys from JING Tea to tell us about ‘everything’ that is tea.

JING Tea hand selects the highest quality, single garden teas that express the unique character of the people, place and nature that work in harmony to create them. Explore a world of distinctive flavours, diverse cultures, master craftsmanship and incredible taste. Welcome to a better world of tea.

For this special event we’ll be tasting 4 distinct Japanese teas, to discover how terroir and centuries old craft, impact the taste of tea.

• Cold-Infused Asahi Gyokuro

• Yabukita Sencha

• Organic Gemaicha

• Yamabuki Nadeshiko – Koji fermented dark tea

Plus, the tea tasting will be followed by KANPAI sake SORA Honjozo (both cold + warm) and a very special highball cocktail curated for the event that infuses both sake and tea together.
